Monday is our catch up day

I have been dragging all day.  We had a great weekend, but very busy.  So today, I've been catching up on cleaning, laundry, made lunch from our leftovers of the weekend, trying to push the kids to hang in there for this last month of school, etc.  The COKE at lunch really helped.  In my heart, wished it had been a Dr. Pepper, but have given up the dream.  I must say the Dr. Pepper Jelly Beans were truly a taste from heaven...HINT  HINT,  if anyone else wants to send us some....

Today, we have a guy building something to cover our Tilapia Pond.  Although it is an amazing feature to our house, having a 4 yr old, it makes us nervous.  And all the other children that come to visit.  So, we are happy that it will now be covered with a mesh and wooden border...so our fishies can still breathe:)  Lee said it will be secure enough for even him to walk on.

Also today, we got to go pick up our new (to us) van.  But that entailed other errands: switching over the title, getting insurance, washing it...  We are very thankful.  It does have AC, but only blows from the front, so it is hot in the back...glad I'm the mom:)  It will be such a blessing.  We are always transporting people and already have a family of six, so life gets complicated.  Yesterday, the three older kids and I started walking home from church while Lee and Erika ran everyone else home.  We are not too far, but were thankful when Lee picked us up.  Now we can all ride and just do drop offs.  Erikas carseat is right in the middle on the second row, so she can see everything.  It was fun just running errands in our new RIDE this afternoon.

Saturday afternoon/evening, we had a great time with one of the young families of our church.  They missed on Sunday as they were picking up a family from Guatemala.

Sunday service was great.  The people are all starting to sing more.  We had lots of visitors  God is great.  And as usual, Tori did a great job with the children.  I continue to be so proud of her.  As you can see, we have a lot of young people.  Which we love.  After church on Sunday, I made a big pot of spaghetti, salad, garlic bread.  It was fun to have our home full of some of the young kids.  And then we watched To Save A Life with a few of the girls.  The issues in that movie are just as relevant here in Belize.

We do still have the older car and plan to keep it.  It is automatic, so I can drive it.  We will mostly use the van, but I do not know how to drive it.  And there may be times, we just need another car.

We are so thankful for the van.  Yes, Belmopan is not that big and people do walk.  But not like you would think.  It is just easier if we can help transport people here and there.  And when we have small teams come in, it will be a blessing as it holds 12 people.  We have taken our time (Lee has taken his time) to make a good decision.  Just as our home is an answer to prayer so that we can use it for the Lord...this van will be used for ministry as well.  Pray for good mileage...like we were told it has.


Wednesday, we have parent/teacher conferences with the girls' teachers and no school, so may head to the river  TO COOL OFF...
