Saturday, the School of Ministry from Life Church arrived. I cannot tell you how awesome it is to see everyone. And they are ready to minister, and be a help to what Lee and I are doing. They came with all sorts of goodies for us. We are beyond blessed!!! They brought 100 Bibles, which we need for the people in our church, a Guitar and Case, DVD children's curriculum, all sorts of special treats for the whole family, and DR PEPPER. Yes, you heard right. They waited til they went through the xrays and then bought us tons of DP. We are in heaven. Our whole cabinet is full. They brought everything off our wish lists. Each family member got their own bag full of special things.
Sunday morning, Billy spoke and Joshua and Jaclyn led worship, and Yvette and Tricia ministered to the children. God's presence was definitely in that very squished room. It was just so great for Billy to share his testimony and minister, especially to the young people, but the message was relevant for all. The worship was amazing, and we had lots of happy children with painted hands and faces and all sorts of special things.
We went to lunch afterward. It is just so awesome to get to sit and catch up with everyone. And just have them be here, living with us. Seeing our lives.
This morning, it was cool, but it is hot now. We are kind of used to it, but I know it is hard for the team. We are praying for rain and cooler temps for them, as they have a lot planned this week. We had rain last night and that cooled things for awhile.
They just are making us feel so loved, and the people of LifeNet. They are passionate to minister this week while they are here. And we welcome it.
We are about to eat and then prayer walk the University. This morning, the team went into the biggest high school here and ministered.
Please pray for the team to be able to endure the heat and humidity...our family is more used to it. Pray for health...and mostly, please pray for divine appointments. There have already been some good connections between the LifeNet members and the Life Church people.
so exciting to see and here what is going on this week! I know it is going to be a special time with lasting fruit!

Loved seeing the pictures. I know you are excited about having friends from home there with you. Have fun and we will pray for God's guidance to the ones they will touch. Patricia Brockinton
ReplyDeleteseeing the pictures of the "holy drink" and candy begs the question ... how easy is to get to a dentist there?
ReplyDeleteThis warms my heart for the fellowship, connections, and encouragement taking place for you and Lee...powerful. Praise God! Love, Blancos
